About Us
The Talon Times is proud to launch as Jamestown’s new digital news outlet. The school hasn’t had a news outlet for 7 years after the last outlet, “The Eagle Eye.†Our goals are to keep students, staff, and families informed about what’s happening in our school by accurately reporting events, promoting awareness, and strengthening communication.
Thanks to the support of Mr. Anderson and Ms. Scott, we were able to create and launch The Talon Times. Thanks to their help we were able to get the newspaper running quickly, and not long after, we published the first edition of our paper.
What The “Talon” Means
What is a talon, and why are we named after it? A simple question, with a simple answer.
A talon is the claw of a bird, specifically birds of prey.
We call ourselves the Talon Times because it reflects our sharp-skilled writers and references the school’s mascot, the eagle.
